How it works

Once it is touched on the panel surface, there is capacitance generated between finger? panel and ITO coating. The slider is consisted of three prolonged triangle pattern. when finger locates on the left side of pattern, the finger covered area in left triangle electrode is larger than that of right side,then sampling IC collects strong signal from left electrode and weak signal from right electrode,the X-coordinate location of finger is detected through the sampling IC calculation against the proportional current between left electrode and right electrode.when finger touch the panel, the strongest signal exists in the location where closest to the finger covered area, other signal is fading in proportional distance , in this case, sampling IC will detect the Y-coordinate location by calculating the different signals across the sliders;
